W. O. Wolfe, was a monument maker in Asheville, NC. He ordered this statue from Carrara, Italy and it stood as an iconic centerpiece for his business at 28 Pack Square (site of the Jackson Building). The statue is now located in Oakdale Cemetery, Hendersonville, NC, but it has been forever immortalized in his son's book, "Look Homeward Angel."
