Rose Mary Byrne moved from Brooklyn to Asheville (ca. 1909), NC, as the only surviving sibling of Dr. John Byrne's family of 13 children. First published in 2003 and then expanded in 2004 (pictured here), this booklet chronicles the story of Miss Byrne's search for health and happiness in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The booklet received a Griffin Award, 2004.
